Auto & General employees work together to fill 2 500 hungry stomachs
At our recent Sandwich Drive, hundreds of hands worked together to make an incredible 2 500 sandwiches – exceeding the target by 1 500 and all in under 2 hours.
The collaborative energy was electric as each person found a job to do, whether it was preparing the sandwiches or packing bags with apples, chips and sweets.
Once the bags were packed, it was time to hand them over to Kids’ Haven, an NGO whose mission is to reach out to children on the streets and other needy members of the community. They strive to provide them with love and shelter in a nurturing, secure environment.
And thanks to the wonderful work of Auto & General, 2 500 people who may not have otherwise had a meal, had their stomachs filled with delicious fresh food, made with love.
When it comes to doing continuous good, Auto & General supports a number of organisations focused on enhancing the livelihoods of individuals in the Diepsloot community, through skills development and job placement to reduce poverty. Diepsloot was selected due to its proximity to Auto & General’s Head Office, Auto & General Park.
